It's been 2 months plus since I last blog.. Too busy nowadays as I need to juggle between NPCC, sec 4E and Sec 4NA graduation class. Anyway, I back at blogging since a lot of you miss me. Shall blog about what happen to me. See? You all ask me to blog during FTC lo.. Haha.
This year more stressful than last year due to added responsibility as OC Unit of NPCC.
My new year resolution was not going to be fulfilled. Gone with the wind. Nvm, this year will still be better.. Was feeling very moody prior to the CNY. Some R/S problem. Anyway settled already. Well, sort of.. Till now, only 1 person knew abt this issue, and hopefully she will not leaked out... The person is sure to read this post. Haha.. Thanks to u.. :)
28 students came to my house on 1 Feb for CNY celebrations. Wow my house super packed but lucky my house big enough to house them.. They came around 1pm and left ard 7plus for dinner, walked to NorthPoint and chit chat at Mac till 9plus? Then some of you got my "heart" by "wishing me quickly get married and invite you all to dinner this year. Haha" :) So embarrassed... Thanks a lot..
These few days I kept going to the MOS burger, my fav place.. I love the Milk Tea there and wonderful memories over there.. Too bad the good days are going to be over and they will be leaving me soon. Come to think of it, 4 years looks like yesterday..
I remember I keep scolding them, well good for their sake, punished them, educate them. Lots of fond memories which can only be a dream now..I will really miss you all. Do keep coming back to see me, or ask me go MOS burger again. Haha. I will high chance cannot control myself on the graduation day.. most prob i will do a video to do the "talking". I might "choke" and words might not come out.
How I wish time can go back to Jun 2004. I was so happy almost everyday. I tot GOD was very kind to me for such a wonderful "present". It was such a wonderful period in my entire life.. But things crashed terribly in Dec 2005. Things totally changed. Those memories cannot change to reality anymore. Still hurts till now.. :( My blog song is a song which both of us like very very much. till now, it still remain in my blog and heart.
I dunno y today I am quite emo.. Maybe the more I type, e more feelings I have and the more I want to say out from my heart. Nvm, i shall stop here for today..

I want to go back to Vietnam again. Such a lovely place. Well, I went to Vietnam with 30 students with Yati, Hock, Annur and Santha from 21-26 Nov 2008.
Few observations
a) The hotels are generally clean compared to Karimun. But I do not like the 2nd day hotel . Really budget. The door got a "quite see-through" glass. Of cos u cant c anything clearly but u can figure out the silloutue when people go near it.. And when you closed the door, it is as if the door is going to break.
b) Their food consists of a lot of raw vegetables. No wonder all of them are slim. You can't find any fat lady.. :) But we ate almost every meals prawns, squid, fish etc. I think most students are scared by it. But their soup taste weird. a bit sour? Not suited for my taste.
c) Their motorcycles are comparable to China's bicycles. You cant wait for the vehicles to stop for you. If u do, u will still be on yr side of the road for dunno how many months/years.
d) They sell really cheap clothes. You can bargain until very low.. Issac Teo is the best bargainer. The things there are super cheap. S$1 = $10,000 dong. I bought many "Real Fake shirts" and 2 Buddha statues.
I shall let the pictures to do the talking.
Group photo before we depart for Vietnam in Gate F39
This was the sight that greeted us.. There were far too many motorcycles in Vietnam, comparable to bicycles in China.. Surprising, you won't hear any loud "Prom Prom" sound there unlike in Singapore... :)
Mr. Hock and Me
Upon reaching, we went straight to the War musuem. This is a place whereby they showed many different types of ammunition used, gross pictures of victims being tortured or after-effect of the "Agent Orange gas" etc.
1st day - War Museum - Tiger Cage (whereby POWs are kept by Americans)

Day 3 we went to Cu Chi tunnels. During the Vietnam war, the Saigon people built a 3 levels of underground tunnels to prevent the Americans from bombardment and they can even live, eat and even a hospital in it. But the tunnels were narrow and suitable only for the Vietnamese people. I did not go into the tunnel as I was scared of enclosed and dark areas..
Valerie and Darrly took a photo inside the tunnel. For your info.. the tunnel you see is an enlarged version so that tourists can go in. To have a better view of the entrance, please see next picture.
Only my size can go into the tunnel.. (see how small is the entrance)

Well, there was a "Just married couple" taking photos at White Sand Dunes, initially there were teachers taking photos with the Vietnamese bride, but the last photo all sabo me... Look how "happy" am I? Is it the Prelude to the "actual wedding", haha... U know what I mean..

Look at the photos I took at the White Sand Dune, very nice environment..

Lunch at Lion City Restaurant. Said to be opened by a Singaporean and selling Halal food. That is the only place in HCM that Mdm Yati and Mdm Annur got to eat with ease.
Felicia (Miss Lin Gu Niang), Mr YanDao and Janice (Is she that tired?)
Sheng Howe and Me

Chingy and Me
Must say something abt her cos she mentioned me in her blog. Well, try to match make her to some students but failed. Haha.
2nd and 3rd day we went to Cai Be (Pronounced as kai bei) to help the children built a mini library corner. So we built 2 shelves and put all the library books (kindly donated by CHR but packed into boxes by Me, Felicia, Rebecca, Janice and Yean Lin). Initially part of the intineary was to bring the children out for excursion and dinner but in the end they reply back is a Saturday so no students.. Is only the 3rd day (whereby is a school day, Sunday) where we interact with the students..
This was the boat which can seat approx. 15 people. The boat journey took approx. 15mins then alight and walked abt 5mins to the church.

They sang the opening song for us upon arrival. Is a very catchy tune. Sounds like this "Hello, Hello, Hello! How do you do?" Hmmm the rest I forget.
Issac Liu and his group of friends played a group Scissors Papers Stone as part of CIP.

Some students packed the library books according to the size while most boys were graciously enough to volunteer to fix up the 2 shelves. So now you realise why they need a DNT teacher for this Vietnam trip. Do you see my importance? Haha, joking I provide very minimal assistance, only advice here/there. The rest are being settled by the students

We took a group photo with our end product. Our mouth were "sored" for smiling for so long after enduring approx.10-15 cameras of photos taking.

Teachers took with Sister Beatrice and Father Vincent (if I remember correctly)

Our resort (last 2nd day) - We took approx. 5-6hrs of bus journey from HCM to Mui Ne. We stayed at Sea Gull Resort. One funny incident was that Rebecca was wearing a Orange T-shirt with the word "Sea Gull" imprinted on it. How coincidence.. Was she a walking advertisment for the resort? Once we reached the resort, we were given a welcome drink (tasted like orange, aiyo forget the taste already la)
At reception counter.

Swimming pool. Is actually quite big. But problem is I dunno how to swim so didnt play inside..
This is at this place whereby Rebecca, Janice and Felicia has their 1st try in playing.
A professional billiard player in the making? (Hmmm, I can seriously consider)

Pondering over my future or emo?

Back to my childhood days

We went to the Fishing Village prior to the White sand dunes in Day 5. We were there to experience how the people make a living out of fishing.
Me and Mr Long (Long in Vietnamese means dragon). Hmm maybe my son must got the word "Long" inside?

Their fishing boat. Is actually a BIG bowl...
Last day, we went to visit the post office and the reunification palace whereby the North and South Vietnam decided to call a truce and stop the war..
well, that all for now.. Wed I going for my class chalet. will update my faithful readers again.

Yo, I am back. Too many people simply miss me, keep on ask me to blog. Here I am.
Shall talk abt the happy times I have in the chalet (4D3N) at Aloha Loyang. As compared to Aranda, I was happy with Aloha due to:
a) Very spacious (bungalow style, 4rooms 5 toilets)
b) No need to fight for toilet :)
c) Lots of cutlery, cooking utensils etc.
Disdavantages:
a) Lots of pests like flying cockroaches, mosquitoes and lizards. You can see how terified my gals r. So funny c them scream or run here/there. :P
I thouroughly enjoyed myself these 4D3N. Simply
FANASTIC. Definitely better than the chalet in Aranda. :O
6 JunMet Janice, HX, Charlene, Justin, Timo, Ben, Soon Hin, Klemens. Left without YJ cos he almost 30mins late. Took bus 39 and I overshot by 1 busstop and got to walk all the way b to White Sands for 10mins? Is k with me, but my gals kept complaining abt heavy bags and sunlight, they r weak? :0
Buy things and zoomed off to Aloha by means of free shuttle bus. But sian got to wait for approx. 45mins as the earliest check-in time is 230. So many red-tapes. Why cant they let us check in muct earlier as it was gg to rain quite heavily. Nvm, they r simply following instructions.
Checked in and started eat our Mac and off to marinated. Took many photos in the balcony and haha in a place u will nv tot of taking photos in.

Night time went to White Sands ate food court with Jan/Fel. Then we went night walk in the Aloha premises. Nothing to "see" le :) Slept almost less than 1hr
7 Jun
Sian! It was raining whole morning till 2-3plus whereby I prayed hard it will stopped for our BBQ. Luckily my prayers have been answered. It must be due to good karma I have done last life or GOD does not want to disappointed me for being such a nice and caring teacher :)
Enjoyed BBQ. This time round, it seemed that we do not have lots of leftover which is a good sign. For sure, next time I will buy lots of hotdogs, Satay and marshmallow. They r simply hot :)
Played small/big fish, simply fun. I got to do forfeit the 1st time I play. C I so noob :) Slept around 3-4hrs.
8 Jun
Talked to Wenting/Sheena in the morning. They were surprised how come during the night before I did not scold them for making lots of noise :) surprised right? Acutally this chalet is meant for us to enjoy, but if I sense something is not right, I will scold, e.g. Not sure who play with Marshmallow threw here n there, then I scold. :)
Went to cycle with YJ group. Went to playground whereby I joined in 1 of the items there. It sort of look like satelite dish where ppl sat on it and turn round n round. Unfortunately I didnt thought of bringing camera. Should have taken :( Then went to meet Fel/Janice/Char/HX to eat at Fresh Buggori. It sort of like Seoul Garden, def much more delicious but ex.... Haha, they took our orders via computer, so interesting. The 5 of us 1st time eating there. We ordered lots of food, initially tot cant finish. But Fel def can eat, she ordered another plate of garlic Chicken for herself as she cant take spicy food. :0 Nvm, as long we enjoyed can. Slept almost 4hrs.
9 Jun
Time for leave with a heavy heart. :( Went to White Sands ate breakfast and Home Sweet Home. So went home simply took quick bath and slept almost from 1-6plus again at 9 slept again to next morning 10plus. :)
Charlene: Dun worry, I will def book 1 chalet in Dec. :) This time round maybe u all got to fork out some money. Tentative dates for chalet will be in 1st week of Dec. So u all better keep these dates open for me.

Just came back from 3E4 Karimun trip from 26-28 Mar. Come to think of it, I have been there for 7 times (2005 with class 3/7, 2006 - 1 Recee trip/1 Camp Echo, 2007 - 1Recce/1CampEcho/1class3NA6, 2008 - 3E4). Think I am the teacher with most trips there. :-)
Had fun with my form class, took many photos. Shall blog those unhappy/happy things.
1st dayTook a ferry with most of my students able to go upper deck to enjoy the sea breeze. Reached there immediately the students start teaching. I spotted few "potential teachers" like Shimin and Yang Zhen. Went to some1 house for lunch, cos now is no long Dedi's house to eat. I prefer Dedi's mom cooking. Went back to hotel in noon to prepare for Geo trip. In the hotel, got to open up the door several times to "stare" at students as they were running here/there. Later back from field trip, a group of 14 students were shouting "Goal" in one of the room. Needless to say, you can predict what happened next. Gave them scolding in the hotel lobby before we went for dinner. Then nothing much in the night. Lights out at 1130pm. Oh ya, black-out was fun, can see a lot of students all chiong outside the room and taking torchlight. For me? Nothing to scare as I just lie down on the bed and wait for the light to come back in less than 1min. Few obsevations, few students (Yishi, Yang zhen) scared of cats and Dylan scare of small cockroach. :)
2nd dayI climb Mt Jantan only till mid point cos one of the gal was pale and breathless. Took the decision not to let her proceed for safety sake and to go back down to the midoint as we are already 20min after e mid point. The class total took 4hr 10min, 10mins better than 3E5. You all have made me proud. Saw few students helping out the female teachers and one another. I am happy to see good teamwork among you all. Back to hotel R&R till 545pm. In btw, chit chat with Alicia, XiuMei, XiYu, HX and Viv on the 2nd floor sofa. Haha lots of funny jokes. Joke of the day is titled "Sew". Shall not blog out as this is secret between us. Light out was at 1215, prior to that we again sat outside my room for more chitchat session while others were eating their food along the corridor.
3rd daycheckout hotel at 8am. Went back to same school to play game, then back to eat lunch n board the ferry at 12pm. Can sense that all my students were tired and aching everywhere but I can assured you that THEY enjoyed ALOT. :)
But too bad there is no more such trip organised for them. But rest assured, there will be class chalet for 3E4 this year. Provided you all pay a bit for chalet. I think i can pay for some of it. Cos I am proud of you all. Is a promise :)

Yes!!! Is confirmed. 2E3'07 class chalet is from 6-9 Jun @aloha garden bungalow 7. I am looking forward to it. Even Charlene is helping me to countdown 92 days. :) Tried to book Pool Terrace but it was fully booked by 7am today when I tried to book the chalet. But no choice but to book garden bungalow which is slightly further to the swimming pool. Nvm, we will still enjoy it as a class.
Thanks to Shimin, Janice and WeiTing for tagging my blog to give me encouragement. U all got my "heart" :) But I will be definitely v happy if u all study hard and let me c good results in the EOY.
Went to MOS to eat lunch today with Fel, Char, HX, janice, Shimin and her sister and ZY. Then proceed to Mac to slack until 6pm? Dunno wat to blog now. :)
Hmm to be honest, my "Emo-ness" (is there such a word? :) still lingered in my life. Will get over it soon, dun worry.
